An Unforgettable Day: Excursions from Chia to Discover Sardinia
If you are on vacation in Chia and feel like exploring some more distant areas, here are some ideas for a day trip that takes the whole day and it will allow you to discover some of the most fascinating places on the island, blending history, nature, and breathtaking views.
1. Sant’Antioco and San Pietro
Sant’Antioco is one of the largest islands in Sardinia, connected to the mainland by an isthmus. Here you can explore the historic center with its picturesque streets, visit the Ferruccio Barreca Archaeological Museum which houses Phoenician and Roman artifacts, and admire the Basilica of Sant’Antioco Martire, one of the oldest churches on the island.
